Like many before her, the chef Amanda Cohen was a teenager when she stumbled across cookbooks from Moosewood, the ground-breaking vegetarian restaurant in Ithaca, New York. Unlike anyone else, however, she went on to open an acclaimed, Michelin-starred vegetable-centric restaurant in New York. It’s not for nothing that the picture with her biography on the Dirt Candy website displays a waterfall, a rainbow and a unicorn. You gotta believe in your dreams. (86 Allen St., between Grand and Broome Sts. 212-228-7732.)

About Delivery Times

Life is Short-Art is Long

But There's a Quick Way

While it can take four weeks or more to make, sign, and ship a print, if you need something right away, I will email you a one-sheet about the series. You can print it at home, roll it up, and put a ribbon on it!

“If you know someone who’s wild for a special New York restaurant, this is the perfect present.”
