After the success of Diner, Andrew Tarlow looked down the block and opened Marlow & Sons, in 2004, and not only did it absorb the overflow from his hit restaurant, it took on a life of its own. The dark and intimate back room became a destination, drawing crowds for its oysters and beer and pickles, along with steak tartare and beef carpaccio. The spot is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The menu changes daily, though there’s always Brick Chicken, the rock upon which this church of dining is built.
