Occupying a corner of the Palais-Royal since 1784, Le Grand Véfour is (possibly) Paris's oldest formal table. Gilded wall panels and paintings ooze grandiosity. Colette and Cocteau were regular patrons, among other writers. And the chef Guy Martin keeps things fresh. (17 Rue de Beaujolais, 75001.)
