A fan of my work recently asked me to draw this Italian restaurant in the Bronx. She loves it, and from what I read online, you probably would, too. It’s known as one of the finest places for red sauce and pasta near Arthur Avenue. The waiters have a happy reputation of suggesting “manga, manga,” if they don’t see you eating enough. Their enthusiasm must be catching, because my newfound patron didn’t just want one print, she wanted four, and maybe more. I’ve only seen Antonio’s from the outside, but I like it a lot already.
